You're a few feet away from the finish line, and you want to stop because you're tired. You can see the crowd of people cheering and encouraging you to keep going, but you want to stop. You say to yourself, " well I can take a little break. I can walk to the finish line." But then you hear that voice that’s telling you “to just hold on you’re almost there.” Knowing that you’re almost at that finish line should be enough to keep going. The things we want or have a passion for never come easy. You have to work hard and know within yourself that this is what you’re supposed to do in life. That this IS your purpose. For me, being an artist is like being on a roller coaster ride. You have your highs and your lows. It’s during those low moments when you determine if this is what you want to do. If you love something so much, then nothing can stop you from getting it. Trust me, I understand how hard those low moments are. I’m here to tell you that “Its okay. You will make it because you’re almost there.” To help me overcome the low moments, I write down on sticky-notes positive attributes about myself. Then I post them all over my room and read them aloud everyday. All of your dreams and aspirations are worth it no matter what people may say. Remember to smile and keep going! Claim 2015 as your year because it’s your year!  Happy New Year!
