Happy New Year!

Friday, January 1, 2016

There's a lot I want to do differently this year. Like many people I had my ups and downs in 2015. I dealt with spiritual breakdowns, mental breakdowns, self-image breakdowns, and career breakdowns. Yeah, A LOT OF breakdowns. But I NEVER gave up or lost complete focus on what I wanted and where I was going. I always found a way to get back on track. All the tears I have cried are now seen as growing pains. Why? Because out of every pain comes growth. The challenges we face aren't meant to stop us, but to make us stronger. Switching gears, I can't forget all the ups I had in 2015. Out of all the sweat, tears, and hard work I put into my career some beautiful things happened. I'll be able to share later on this year on what those beautiful things are. Along my journey in 2015 I met some amazing people who I'm so blessed to call my friends. I see 2015 as my year of preparation. All along it was getting me ready for 2016.
Now that the New Year has started I've made my list of what I want to do differently.

 1. Love and appreciate who I am.

I should’ve done this a long time ago. No more nitpicking about how I look, or who I am. God makes us all different for a reason, and that should be good enough for me.

2. Keep a journal.

This way I can have a written record of all the life lessons, and happy moments.

3. Be healthier.

This is every year. I’m pretty good at making healthy choices, but I could do better. I need to feed my body the proper foods it needs to be happy.

4. Blog consistently.

I’ve been terrible with posting to my blog in 2015. Working sixteen-hour days on set for five days a week made it challenging for me to post. BUT, this year no matter how busy I get I’m going to make sure I post more.

5. Be adventurous.

No more being afraid to step out of my comfort zone. I plan on taking a major step out of my comfort zone by going to L.A. to further pursue my acting career.

6. Grow Spiritually.

This is very important to me for my life. Back in August 2015 I started meditating every morning before I did anything. My mediation included prayer, focusing only on the good, and releasing the bad. It really helped me to have a positive day. So I want to continue this for 2016.

This is just the beginning to my list. I’m sure I’ll be adding more as the year goes on. Whatever you want to achieve this year keep a daily journal to help you stay on track. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2016 have in store for me. I know that this year will be a great one!

  5. Great goals for 2016. Self love and appreciation is definitely a very important one. Two of my 2016 goals are also to be healthier and blog consistently. I enjoy healthy food and I love blogging, so there are no excuses...my downfall is always pizza.

I hope you fulfil all of your goals and have a great 2016. :D
