Everyone wants to fit in, to be a part of something or someone that is bigger than themselves. I remember, as a young girl, wanting to fit in with the "cool kids" at school. There was a desire I had wanted to be approved by them. Back then having the approval of the "cool kids" meant that you weren't "lame" and that you would gain everyone's respect. Well, I never got that wish of fitting in, and I'm forever grateful for it. Let me explain why.

By me not fitting in made me have to value and approve myself. It meant I had to get to know myself and be willing to accept who I was. Accepting yourself isn't easy, and it's an arduous process, but it's worth it at the end. Also, you have to be willing to do the work alone. It will help you build strength and a solid foundation within yourself. The key is to know that deep down inside you're good enough for you. 😌

Once you start this process, you no longer desire the praises and approval of others. You don't need permission from others to be you, or to fulfill your happiness, or to be a part of something bigger than yourself. If you want to fulfill that desire of being a part of something bigger, then search for your purpose. Knowing your purpose will give your life meaning and will bring an understanding to who you are. Honestly, I'm still learning about myself and accepting my journey. 🙋🏽

This journey isn't easy, and there will be days when you want to give up. However, don't give up. Allow God to approve you because, in the end, His approval is the only one that matters. Just keep pushing. 🌟
