Waiting For Tomorrow
We are dreamers. As we dream, whether it’s when we are asleep or awake, we can vividly see ourselves living our dream — “The Dream.” We can see our passions come to life, and that we’re happily living in them. The sight and feel of our dream world feels real, so real as if it’s what we're actually living in. Then all of a sudden it begins to fade into the far distance as our current reality sets into view, and now we’re left with a faint memory. Now, you’re back to your usual routine of only living your dream in your dreams.
It took me some time to will myself out of my dream world and to make it my reality. One thing I noticed that I kept doing was never actually taking the first step towards what I wanted. I would give every excuse in the book as to why I didn’t or couldn’t, but the main reason I gave was that I didn’t have time. My favorite line was, “ I’ll do it tomorrow,” because in my mind I would have more time the next day. The thing about waiting is that you will continue to wait and wait and wait until you realize that it’s not going to happen unless you make it happen. Don’t hold yourself back by waiting for tomorrow.
We are so willing to invest and believe in someone else’s dreams with no doubt or fear. So why can’t we apply that same belief and invest the same amount of time in ourselves? You have to believe that you are deserving of what you see for yourself and know that all things are possible with God. No it won’t be easy, and it may take some time to get there, but it will be worth it. Imagine how much time we waste by not starting on our dreams at all. I promise once you take that leap of faith and begin to work on what it is you want you’ll feel a difference within yourself. There’s no better time than now, so don’t wait until tomorrow.
